Guitar Hero 3 - Slash

To finish my blog I wanted to post this, the Guitar Heroe 3 ad, I love this ad. It gives me the chills when I watch it. It really makes me want to rock out and go buy the damn thing, which I know its a waste of time. But come on, how many of us didnt dream of being rockstars? And tried to play the guitar and we sucked completely at it? Well I was one of them, and this cool new game allows anyone to become a rockstar at least in their house and this commercial says it all, I love it.

2 more

I only need 2 more blog posts, and I really am without any ideas on what to write, I have exhausted everything and all that I can really think about is studying and how hard finals are going to be. This two weeks are pretty much going to suck, I have projects, essays and finals, not fun. But w/e at least its only 2 more weeks and I get to relax at least for a month outside of Dallas, thats what I am looking forward the most, the chance to leave dallas, go back home and not have to worry about money, groceries, bills, homework, anything, I cannot wait for that to happen!

PS. 1 more post to go!

Pasta Recipe

So obviously that is not my pasta, but I wanted to share a little recipe I use everytime I make my Pasta, and I have yet to get bored of it. I start using wheat pasta, but any works, fetuccini is my favorite non wheat pasta.
1. Boil water, add salt to taste, and once water has boiled let pasta cook for 11-15 mins depending on how you like it.
2. In a bowl mix mozzarella cheese, sour cream, parmesan cheese, teaspoon of olive oil, cayenne peppers and italian seasoning. Heat it in microwave for 15 seconds to allow cheese to melt.
3, Get chicken, cut it into small strips, throw in pan and cook with olive oil, worchestercire sauce, italina seasoning some lemmon pepper, maggi seasoning sauce and lime juice.
4. Mix all together, add tabasco
5. You have an amazing pasta in 15 mins.

Paul Johnson!

Paul Johnson! Paul Johnson! Paul Johnson!

Please let him be our new head coach!!!!!!!!!! Come on! He is the best one for the job... Today might be the day he gets announced, Orsini has until thursday to hire a new coach, and todaywe play TCU in basketball, what a better time to announce him! Plus, Gerald Fords plane was seen leaving for Annapolis today, where Navy is located, were guess who coaches? The plane has been back, the stadium lights are on, Perunas truck was seen rushing to the stadium, this might be it! Come on new coach!!!!

God vs. Evolution

According to a recent poll, 82% of americans belive in God, and that evolution did not exist. This number has remained constant for the past few years, and it seems it will remain that way for some time to come. If by now people are not convinced of evolution with all the information and breakthroughs that have occured during the past few decades then they will never believe. I guess its a way to maintain their believes of a better world, or an afterlife and their hope that there is a heaven, and being good in life is worth something. I am catholic, I come from a really catholic country and I personally believe in evolution. Dont get me wrong, I also believe in god, the bible, jesus and his miracbles. But the evidence is there, I dont want to be naive, I would like to believe that this world was created in six days by god out of nowhere and he rested the final day. But the evidence is against it, and maybe I am wrong, I would really like to believe I am wrong. Maybe is more complicated that either one, a combination of both, thats what I mostly believe. Whatever the truth is we will some day find out...

Wasting my time

I have this really boring philosophy class, but to respect the teacher and the class I wont say which one it is, I will only say it has something to due with weird theories and some type of marxism is involved. I did not chose that class, it was the only one left and I regret taking it. But thats not what this post is about, during the class I really cant focus, and have started doing some drawings in my notebook while I should be paying attention and taking notes, and I have discovered that I have been getting better and better at drawing this random things in my notebooks. Here is an example of one of my pages, as you can see there are more drawings than notes, that is not good. But on a special note I have a B+ on the class and a really good chance of getting an A. Thank you sparknotes!

Finals

I hate finals
Dont we all hate finals?
No sleep
No rest,
no food,
no fun.
What a great time!
Stuck at school
studying al night
oh how fun!
Finals
Makes us all hate our lives!

One of the greatest movie endings ever

So I just wrote my entry on how much I love the ending of Big Fish and of Dr Strangelove, here it is for you all to enjoy. If I was on that plane and knew that I was going to die, hell I would ride that bomb too!

Big Fish - trailer

I am posting this video for two reasons. The first one being I am running out of things to write about, like its getting really hard to reach those fifty posts.
The second one is, I love this movie, its probably one of my top 5 movies. I really believe in the power of imagination and how it can really change a life and make someone happier, how imagination can give live to some of the more boring and common moments of our life. I am a daydreamer, I love to imagine the what ifs, and create stories that will never happen, and I know its bad, and sometimes I tend to exagerate some things, not much but kinda of exagerate but I love it. I really like the message of the movie, and the ending is one of my favorite endings ever(Right next to Doctor Strangeloves ending were the pilot rides the nuclear bomb) it is sad, happpy and really cool. We can all learn from movies like this, and if you have no seen it, then go rent it!

Season from Hell

So I know I am not supposed to write about SMU football anymore but I will do it one final time I promise. And the reason I am doing it is this, we just finished our season from Hell with a game which went to Triple Overtime! Not only that but the game was against Memphis! A school that last year won only one game... Hmmmm sounds really similar to us! Our defense completely sucks, they competed more than 65% of all their third downs, that was pathetic. The good side was that their defense also sucked, so the game turned out to be a wild shoout. We had so many chances of winning it if it hadnt been for dumb penalties like facemasks, holdings and personal fouls. But thats it for the bad part, now the good side of this is we are getting a new Coach!!!! :D this is something that should make anyone that cares even a little about SMU football happy, I mean bye bye Bennett, you make a great Defensive Coordinator but not head coach! Hello Nutt, Bowden, Mason or Fran, whoever it is, its going to be amazing!

21:00

I have been running 5Ks for a while now, I always run well at the gym usually do a 22:00 5k which is actually not that bad. When I have been in the real races its different that adrenaline that hits when you are on a race against someone is so great that I ran so much faster I have ran them in approximately 21:00 and it is really annoying. Since I know I can run them faster, I need to start training harder next year so that I can move that time at least down to 20:00, that is my goal. I know I wont be able to win the races since there will always be that 4 lunged freak that can outrun everyone and that really sucks. In the past 2 I have arrived six overall and 3 in my category but that one was a small one, in the big one I just did I arrived maybe in top 50 and it felt amazing! Hopefully I can improve my time, we will see what happens. But by now that damn 21:00 mark is still stuck in my head

No Doz

This article is really scary, it talks about the caffeine pills called no Doz, they are supposed to be as safe as a cup of coffee but apparently they are not. As a college student I have pulled several all nighters and gotten barely any sleep on many ocations, I dont really remember the last time I could just sleep until whenever I wanted to. Oh well those times are gone. So for me the only thing that keeps me going is caffeine, I take No Doz all the time. They keep me awake, on the morning I sometimes take them before class and I know its not good but they help the day go faster and avoid me falling asleep so thats a good thing. I hate energy drinks personally they taste horrible and dont really do anything for me, as for coke and pepsi I think they are disgusting. So all I have left is coffee which I love, I could drink it forever but the damn pills are just so more convenient. Sadly thearticle talks about how things can quickly go wrong. As a general rule dont take this things in excess! What the hell was he thinking? If you take two you feel like you could run a marathon, taking 12 is just suicidal. So as a lesson dont over do it, this things keep you awake and focused, but use them with moderation. Anything in excess can kill you, and this pills are not different. And as a final comment they are not like caffeine! I dont know how much caffeine you have to take to get their effect, but hey they work...

Student-Teacher affairs

And it happened again, another male teenager was found having consentual sex with his female high school teacher. The teacher was obviously charged with rape and the student was blamed that he had been manipulated and all. My question is this, if they both agree to have sex, the teacher at no point forced the student to have sex with her, if both parties agreed to it should it really be considered rape? I know that such a big age gap is bad, and more when the person the teacher is having sex with is really young and barely discovering sex. I fully agree this is wrong! Teachers dont be going having sex with your student, its just weird, and you are just fullfilling some sex fantasy that probably every single guy had in their high school days, there was always that hot teacher... I think it should not be considered rape, both persons agreed to it and they both kinda knew what they were getting involved in, I wont lie that teacher has one hell of a weird mind, I mean if you have to go having sex with your student that means there is something wrong with your relationships, like really wrong! So stop doing it! But if they choose to do it, and they get caught dont charge her for rape, since I bet the student had the biggest smile on his day the next day and could not wait to do it again. There is an age were you know what you are doing, and hopefully by high school you know what is right or wrong so lets leave this perverted teacher alone, her career is done, she will forever be seen as that teacher that had sex with his student... And as a final comment, if you are in high school, and sleeping with a really hot teacher, dont go complaning about it!!

NFL Network Monopoly

From askmen.com

"The NFL pumped $100 million into the NFL Network to get it going in 2003, but it only covers a meager eight games a season, highlights and the draft. Recently, however, the NFL Network has expressed an interest in showing more regular-season games and non-NFL football content, such as NCAA games.Perhaps the network’s desire to show more games is its “democratic” way of getting cable providers to carry the NFL Network, which few do presently. On the other hand, or maybe backhand, Jerry Jones (the NFL Network Committee Chairman) solicited fans to cancel any and all cable providers that do not carry the NFL Network. If the NFL Network does monopolize coverage, should they also provide more than the current 16 games in the regular season"

I am always amazed how sports are not anymore about the love for the sports but they just machines used by gians corporations to gain more money. No longer do they even care about the fans, they pretend they do, but they just want them to buy more merchandise, to spend more money on tickets and to watch their games. I dont know how it was in the past, I think that corporations have always wanted to earn more money, and I dont blame them, but this is getting ridiculous, cut your cable provider off because they dont show a channel? You can just go watch the same games on either the internet, some network channels or hear it on the radio. I mean we dont need more sports channels, we have enough, already there are like 10 fsn channels, even more espn channels and thats not counting all those other networks like cstv. We dont want any more! I am appy with the channels I currently see sports in, I dont need any more! I think that networks are losing that connection with the fans, and I see it as a nice attempt to make fans happy by giving them more games and more football, but do it for them, not just to earn more money!

Carlos Peña

Wow my mom called me really excited about this some weeks ago but I had not really notied it. Carlos Penia is the winner of Latin American Idol and he is from Guatemala. This is probably the biggest thing to have happened to the country, the whole country stopped for this day just to watch he final episode. According to the news the streets were empty and as soon as he was announced the winner the streets went into a giant sense of partying, fireworks illuminated the city, people went to get together in the main parts of downtonw to celebrate that a Guatemalan had won. I believe that more than ever Guatemala was united if only for one day under one cause and that was to support their idol, it was a day which will forever be kept as one of the happiest days in Guatemalan history.

Oh F#$!

http://prensalibre.com/pl/2007/noviembre/06/187037.html

So I was casually checking the news from Guatemala when I found this. I talked in a post some time agoe about the first round of elections and how both candidates that had won were extremely inefficient. Now I find this!!!! The worse possible candidate for Guatemala won, this guy used to be a communist in the time of the Civil War at Guatemala not to long ago! 8 years ago he ran as the president for the damn communist party and now he runs for a conservative republican party and wins! WTF?!?!?! Guatemala has gone through lots of inestability, we have faced horrible candidates and extreme corruption from all sectros of the government. But we were on the rise, our old president worked really hard to elevate Guatemala and this new one is well just going to steal all the money, bankrupt the country once again and we will have to start from square 0. Of the last 4 presidents in guatemala 2 abandoned their country as soon as their term was over because of all the money they had stolen, and the mentor or this new idiot was one of those presidents. I am gratefull I am not in Guatemala for now more than ever violence and corruption are going to soar!

Junior Year

I have been having a great junior year until now. It seems like if everything just started to crumble in the past few weeks. For the past few days I have gotten barely three hours of sleep, have barely eaten anything and in all my free time I have spent either studying or trying to work on projects and essays. I have lived in the library for the past few days, and been there when not a single sould was there, it was really creepy and weird. The worse part I feel, is that while I have been doing all that I have been doing so many things for my friends, taking time to help them with their homeworks, problems, future schedules or just listened to their bitching. And yet I feel like I have never felt so lonely, I always take pleasure in helping my friends, in doing everything I can and always being there for them. Thats how I grew up, but for the first time I realize that Americans are not like the Latin Americans I grew up. Here they only care about themselves, after all that I have done for some people when I need them the most they are not there. I have been having horrible days, I have lost my ipod, did horrible at tests and when I just need someone to ask me hey do you need anything? Are you alright? Nobody does, I guess I just have to get used to the fact that people wont really care about others unless they can benefit themselves in some way. And that is so sad, I really thought I had true friends, but I guess thats not really the case, for the only reason they hung out with me was to party, now that I cant live that lifestyle they just ignore me completely. Lifes a bitch, and I will still face it with a smile and everyone can go fuck themselves if they dont like it.

Our most prized possesions

I recently found an article and a dbate on the internet about what would be the one thing that you would take away from your house if it was burning. I thought this was interesting since we all live in such a materialistic world, there were the obvious answers my cat, my dog and such. But maybe 90% of the answers included my $2,000 suit, my $10,000 computer. My 100 year aged bottle of wine priced at who knows how much. I dont know about them, but for me my most priced possesions are two things a wooden box in which I keep my favorite pictures and my journal and a little tin box which dates to WWI, the Queen of England gave this box to every soldier who was wearing his full uniform on christimas. How this ended in my possession I have no idea, but here I keep the things that mean the most to me, my fraternity pin, my pledge pin, a letter from my dad, a picture of me and my gf and my cross... Yeah I also use it to keep my credit cards, but overall those are the two things I would save. I would obvoiulsy miss all my clothes and computer but you can buy those again, memories cant be redone. What would you save?

Dumbledore is gay...

I have been wanting to write about this for a while, but I have found myself not blogging. It is kind of a random shock to know that one of the most loved characters in the Harry Potter series has just been called gay by its author J.K. Rowling. Now I can see this in two ways, one she is supporting the gay community by making one of her mysterious characters gay and this will open new doors in the gay acceptance or second it is just a trick for more people to buy her book. She just got herself a whole new market with her little publicity stunt, now people will buy the books and try to find the "signs" she put in the book about Dumbledore and his past. Whatever the reason is, I must admit it is really random that it came now. Why she did it? We might nevr know...

Scientology

Tom Cruise can't say no to his daughter Suri because Scientology forbids it. The 'Top Gun' star and his wife Katie Holmes are encouraged by the sci-fi cult, of which they are both devout followers, to "support" their 18-month-old child, not scold her. A source said: "Tomand Katie have a hard time saying no to Suri. It's all about being positive and supportive. Scientology advises parents to try to be the child's friend. They don't scold their children, but instead explain that bad behaviour is the 'wrong action'. "Tom and Katie are very lenient with Suriand don't like to give her too many rules. Suri pretty much does whatever she wants, whenever she wants. If she fusses before bed, they let her stay up later. If they want her to go swimming and she cries, they'll take her out. If she whines about food, they'll ask her what else she wants to eat. They always want to please her." Suri, who is still too young to take Scientology classes, is also constantly surrounded by Scientologists and her two nannies are members of the 'religion'. The source added to Us Weekly magazine: "Tom doesn't like associating with people who aren't Scientologists." Tom, who has been hailed by leaders of the faith as the "chosen one", reportedly sent his two adopted teenage children to Scientology summer camp this year. A source revealed: "The summer camp is part of Scientology's 'get them while they're young' campaign." A Scientology representative has denied the faith interferes with the disciplining of its followers' children. The representative said: "How a parent disciplines their child is left up to the parent."

I used to think Tom Cruise was awesome, besides the fact that he is really really short, he had an amazing life. He was with Nicole Kidman but quickly ruined that one up, and went with Katie Holmes, really Tom Cruise? Thats the best you can do? But that is the least of my problems with him, SCIENTOLOGY?! Really? He is the chosen one? And he believes it and only hangs out with people that are like him? Give me a break. I understand that everyone has their own right to follow their own religion regardless of what it might be or follow. But he is taking it wayyyyyyyy too far. Now he cant say no to his daughter? Guess how girls end like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. You guessed it, daddy does not say no to them! But if that is what he wants to do, go for it. He completely destroyed his career, appeared like a lunatic in Oprah and oh yeah broke up with Nicole Kidman, what an idiot! So if scientology makes him happy go for it. Cant wait to see the huge whore his daughter will be growing with a father like that haha...

Fat Kid on Rollercoaster

Crackberry

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071010/ap_on_hi_te/phantom_vibrations

I found this link some minutes ago and thought it was really interesting. I belive in every word it says for I swear I feel my phone vibrating and half the time is nothing. Some rain recently ruined my old phone(Worse thing ever) and for that one day I did not have my phone I was freaking out, what if someone tried to call me? What if someone sent me a message? What if something happened? I still kept touching my pocket to see if it was there and suprise there was no phone, it was probably the worse day of my life. Not only because of the phone but that same day I also got a flat tire, ruined my HMWK because of the rain, ruined my ipod and my running shoes... Great times.
So now to make things worse for me I bought a blackberry, I love the phone, I use it as my dayplanned, alarm clock, calendar, everything... I am afraid I am addicted to my phone, and that is a problem...

sneaky football play

Now this is some play, it is illegal on almost all divisions of football, HS, College, Pro, etc. But still it is pretty cool haha... Just in case SMU needs a backup play for our playbook. Since we pretty much use the same three plays anyways, why not give it a shot? Worse case scenario we get a penalty...

Advertising

So it appeared on my blog if I wanted to make some money by adding advertisement to my blog, and depending on how many people clicked on it I would become richer :D. I know I just totally sold my blog, and that I will probably only receive a check of about $ 0.05, but still I will love going to cash it to Bank of America and seeing their wtf expression haha... So if any of you sees that advertising link click on it! Make me one cent richer! It takes only a second after all, its for a good cause...

Cookies!

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4721091471177416678&q=family+guy+cookie+monster&total=189&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0

I love cookies for some weird reason. I never really ate them back in Guatemala unless it was christmas when my mom would make thousands of varieties and still I wouldnt eat that many. I am not a person that will eat sweets that much, dont find them that good. But recently my girlfriend has been bringing me cookies her cook make, they are soooooooooooo good! I mean she makes the best peanut butter cookies ever and her caramel cookies are heaven haha. So I think I have become addicted to them, to such an extent that today I was feeling sick and ate a cookie and out of knowhere felt completely better. Thats why I posted this video, you will enjoy it haha...

Money for Darfur

Today in our fraternity chapter they told us that during this week and next we would be holding several charity events to raise awareness for Darfur and to raise money for them. I kno what is happening in Darfur, I think it is horrible and will happily donate money in order to stop that, to help them. But I really think is dumb that all this dumb persons at SMU are using this as an excuse to make a party. When I asked people if they knew what was going on in Darfur most had no idea! They didnt know were it was, what was happening or even why there were chairty events. They are just using it as a technique to rush kids, and I think that is the worse way to do it. They are just using a tragedy to their own advantage, they couldnt care less about Darfur, they just want to party and drink more. I love to party, but I also know that this is a tragedy that affects all the world and I dont want to be one more dumb SMU student which will party and pay $20 for something I have no idea what it is. I care about whats going on, I will donate directly to the UN, not to some dumb group of people which hold dinners at their houses, charges 20 dollars to come. The money will probably never even go to Darfur, it will just be pocketed or used to make more parties. If they want to rush people be my guest, dont use a tragedy like this for that cause. I refuse to go to any party which exploits such a thing. I believe it is sad that we have to recur to partying in order to raise awareness to such a tragedy. Dont come telling me that at the bar after a set amount of money has been spent on drinks the rest will go to charity, thats like saying get drunk, make the bar more money, make us more money and if there is any left we will donate it, why not? Fuck that! This really pisses me off!

texas tech bell ringer

Wow I am glad I dont got to Texas Tech, this guy seems to be enjoying ringing that bell a little bit too much haha. I just love how nobody would have ever noticed this if it hadnt been for the one guy that had his camera pointing at him at that exact moment. I am guessing either the bell ringer felt horrible or he loved the exposure. Either way, this tells us a little bit about Texas Tech... Students are weird...

Library

Right now I am studying at Fondren Library. Next week I have two midterms and an essay due plus all the other studying I need to do for the rest of my classes. And I am guessing that like me 95% of the people that are here dont want to be here and would rather be somewhere else. This is were my post is leading too, we are all here because we have to, we are not enjoying it and this is not the nicest, most comfortable place in the world. So when I am trying to study and some dumb b#!@$ is talking on her phone as loud as she can right next to me I will get extremely annoyed. I understand if someone calls you, obviously you will answer it, and well maybe move to another part of the library were people wont hear you, I myself do it all the time. But no, she continues to talk as loudly as she can, we dont care about what you are talking about! I dont care about what your slutty rooomate did yesterday at a party. Just shut up and let everyone else study, if you want to talk go outside or text! Thats what the rest of the people here do. I am by no means saying we should all be here as quiet as possible I always talk and I am sure lots of people hate me because of that, but give me a break at least I try to be considerate. It really is annoying when they dont consider everyone else here, so freaking annoying...

Semiotics

I think this is a funny advertisement for Dunkin Donuts. If we just saw it we would be like wtf? Why is he biting the things on a bus? Is he retarded? But once we see it is Dunkin Donuts we understand that is saying how people are always thinking about Donuts and in this case, his craving is so bad that he actually confuses the circle holders for donuts.

Intertextuality commercial

I have tried several times to upload this video from www.youtube.com and for some weird reason it is not working, the address to find this commercial is http://youtube.com/watch?v=cjRYCB9s2EQ. As most might know this commericial deals with the UT/A&M rivalry. I first of all really enjoy the commercial and on a vertical scale it reminds me of my brother he was an aggie(I know, I know, dissapointing) and hates will all his heart UT, he calls them TU and all. It also makes me think of Vince Young winning the Rose Bowl in 2005 and how happy I was to see USC losing and how all my friends get so mad when they see any commercial about UT, it makes me feel so happy inside haha. Horizontally obviously it reminds me of the UT/A&M rivalry and of that game they play every year after Thanksgiving and that sadly A&M won last year.... It also makes me think of college football and all the rivalries that there are and how strong they are, seeing that they forever stay with the fans.

UTEP Game

This makes me sad, this is a picture of the student section during the fourth quarter at the SMU vs UTEP game, the stands were almost empty. This was an important game for SMU, it was also an exciting game, we went to overtime thing which I dont think has happened at SMU for a long long time. And like always students didnt care, they left and took our win for granted. Yes we were up by 21 at one time, and yes we also blew twice a 14 point lead but that still does not mean that students should leave. Try to show some support! How embarasing for a nationally televised game that there are more UTEP fans than SMU fans, it just shows how some things never change...

SOFA KING DRUNK WE TODD KIAN

Ok, so this is why drinking and trying to think at four am in the morning does now quite work. If you dont understand what it says it is: I am retarded, I am so f*****g retarded! Hahaha...

SMU 7 TCU 21

So we lost, again. That means we are now 1-3, that is pathetic. This was a team that was suppose to be a major force this year, and yet we lost. We make pathetic mistakes, four minutes left, and we run the ball, reall coach Bennett? Did you ever heard of no huddle offense in which you pass so you get the touchdown quicker? And even then an onside kick, yeah not going to happen. Dont get me wrong, our special teams are the best thing in our team except for DeMyron Martin, but still. This is not the team that we were all expecting, now we have to play dangerous conference teams. UCF is getting better and better each day, gave texas a hell of a scare. Tulsa stood up to OU and has only lost one game. Houston is predicted to win C USA again, probably against Tulsa. So that leaves us UTEP, Tuland and Memphis and with the way we are winning that seems quite hard. Come on mustangs! This is our year, we have a great offense, amazinf running backs, great receivers and kick/punt returners, just get it together and we can do this!

Seth Green Says Leave Chris Crocker Alone!

Hahahahahaha this is just one of the thousands if videos that are now on www.youtube.com making fun of the video I posted before haha...

LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!

So this is so so so funny. My GF is a super fan of Britney spears and showed me this video I could not stop laughing as I was watching it, for once second I thought it was a girl but I was completely wrong. I also thought he was joking but no, he is for real haha.

FIJI Back in Black

This is a picture taken at our party last thursday. Its our Back In Black party and its one of our biggest ones and most meaninful parties of the whole semester. We started it after SMU put us on probation for hazing but could not quite kick us out. The party had an amazing 80s cover band and Kiss impersnators. I love this picture, dont really know why, its just all my best friends at the party. And it was such a great night that just seeing the picture reminds me of the grea time I had...

TCU

So the big game is this saturday, there is not a single sportswriter that is predicting SMU to win, our odds are horrible. Our team was expected to do amazing things, win conference USA or at least go to the championship game, they were also talking about being ranked... So far those things are not going to happen. All we can hope for now is to survive the season and hopefully get a winning record and start looking for a new coach! Very important there, we need a new smart coach! One that can actually use more than 3 different plays the whole game. Here is the prediction for tcu from www.collegefootballnews.com... I will be at that game and will be waiting for a miracle, but lets be real, it is not going to happen...

SMU (2-1) at TCU (2-1) 8:30 PM CSTVWhy to watch: After three games, few schools other than Michigan and Notre Dame have been more disappointing this season than TCU. Ranked to start the season and considered by many to be the premier non-BCS program of 2007, the Horned Frogs disappeared in the second half of the Texas game and then lost the Mountain West opener to Air Force. With dreams of a BCS bowl run long gone, they’ve got to refocus on the fly before a once-promising season completely slips away. Long-time rival SMU has some regrouping of its own to do if it has any chance for a bowl game. The Mustangs’ only win of the year over lowly North Texas has been sandwiched by disheartening losses to Texas Tech and Arkansas State. While the offense is displaying a pulse, the defense has been horrid, showing no sign that it’s adapting to wholesale turnover along the defensive line. Why SMU might win: If star RB Aaron Brown can’t get back on the field, the Horned Frogs simply don’t appear capable of out scoring the Mustangs the way they’re currently constructed. Freshman Andy Dalton has been ineffective behind center, and Brown’s replacements in the backfield have not hit holes with any authority. TCU is averaging just 19 points a game, which won’t be enough against an SMU offense that’s begun to percolate with Justin Willis at the controls. The Mustangs have scored 73 points over the last two weeks, getting six touchdown passes and 760 total yards from their sophomore leader. Why TCU might win: Yes, the Frogs are stumbling on offense, but the Mustangs will be the perfect remedy. SMU is allowing almost 42 points a game, and is ranked 117th in the country in total defense. Arkansas State just got done shredding the feeble unit for 516 balanced yards and 45 points in a runaway victory. Even with issues on a patchwork offensive line and Brown at less than 100%, TCU will find away to get healthy at the expense of one of the nation’s most hapless defenses. Who to watch: This is a turning point game for Dalton, who has the support of the coaching staff, but needs to start making better decisions and more plays downfield. His interception late in regulation as the Frogs were driving for the win is the type of play that needs to be corrected. Against an SMU defense that won’t apply much pressure and is horrible in coverage, Dalton should have the best game of his brief career. What will happen: Defense still wins games, and in that area, the Horned Frogs enjoy a decided advantage over SMU. They’ll keep Willis from going berserk, and get enough on offense to prevent a three-game losing streak. CFN Prediction: TCU 35 … SMU 10 ... Line: TCU -19.5Must See Rating: (5 Curb Your Enthusiasm - 1 Kid Nation) ... 1.5

Texas Tech SMU 1982 HL

Wow, this is the most amazing return I have ever seen and it was done by SMU! Those most have been the good days, I really wish our team was that good again, be ranked and recognized nationally... Hopefully this year at least we will be able to get a winning season and go to a bowl game, hopefully...

Guatemalan elections 2007

http://prensalibre.com/pl/2007/septiembre/16/nac.html

I havent been to Guatemala in more than a year now, but the elections were last week and in the first round the two worse possible candidates won. The first one Alvaro Colom is a socialist and has been known to have had connections with communism groups during his youth, he is also involved in huge corruption scandalas all through his time at the senate. The second one is Otto Perez an ex soldier who believes in military rule and could easily be a great authoriarian government instead of a real democracy. They won by corruption and by tricking people, so now it all comes to who will win the secondary voting, but it is sda to know that there really will be no winners since both of them are horrible candidates...

German Eye Glasses Commercial

Ok so this might be really weird, the commercial is a German commercial for eye glasses and is probably the funniest commercial ever haha.

SMU vs TT

I took this picture as soon as I came to the stadium for the game against TT. I have been to every single game SMU has had at home for the past two years, and this was probaly the first time besides the TCU game that I have seen so many people at the beggining of the game. Yes most of the fants were TT fans, and yes all the SMU student section was empty by the third quarter but still it was nice to see we are getting more support...

Volcan de Fuego

This is the Volcan de fuego(Fire Volcanoe) it is located in Acatenando, Guatemala and it has been one of the most frightening experiences I had ever been in. The little path you see there is less than a two foot wide, and if you fall you will pretty much die, its all sand so there is no way to stop your fall. To make things worse you have 50 people ahead and 50 people behind you, there is no way you can turn back or rush ahead. Once you make it through the pathway known as "El camellon" you reach the peak which is full of sulphur, a really horrible smell that is. Even if this sounds all miserable, being able to say I climbed it is one of my greatest accomplishments in hiking.

SMU vs UNT

This is our prediction done by www.collegefootballnews.com about our game tomorrow, the thing about this is that they predicted we would win against Tech thing which did not quite happened. I am a great follower of SMU footballa and would love to see us win and go to a bowl game, or even the conference championship which we could have gone last year. This game is an important one, first it is UNT they suck at life and they are trashy. Second they humilliated us last year, we better win this game, or that is the end of SMU going to a bowl game this season...

North Texas (0-1) at SMU (0-1) 8:00 pmWhy to watch: Talk about disappointing starts to a season. In the debut of Dodge Ball at North Texas, new head coach Todd Dodge and his Mean Green were dismantled 79-10 by Oklahoma in a game that was every bit as one-sided as the score indicated. Two days later, SMU began what many thought would be a breakthrough season by dropping a 49-9 game to Texas Tech. Dodge has big plans in Denton, including the installation of a pass-happy spread offense, but it could take a few years before he begins seeing results that even approach his success at the high school level. While the Mustangs weren’t supposed to beat Texas Tech earlier in the week, a 40-point home loss to a team in transition was a crushing blow. If the Mustangs have any hope of a post-season game or of keeping Phil Bennett employed, they’ve got to rebound quickly against an inferior opponent. Why North Texas might win: North Texas sure isn’t Texas Tech, but it’ll throw the ball as much, which is harrowing news for the SMU defensive backs. The Mustangs were smoked by Graham Harrell and a new set of receivers for 419 yards and four touchdowns on Monday. SMU tackled poorly and covered worse, which presents an opportunity for the Mean Green to make a significant stride in its new offense. Why SMU might win: At one point Saturday night, Bob Stoops was discouraging his Sooners from scoring any more points. The North Texas defense was really that bad in the opener. With Justin Willis at the controls, Emmanuel Sanders running patterns, and DeMyron Martin running like his freshman year, the Mustang offense will have few problems capitalizing on a young and vulnerable Mean Green defense. Who to watch: Now the face of the SMU program, it’s up to Willis to rally the Mustangs and bounce back from the worst game of his young career. He was harassed constantly by a rebuilt Tech defense and made too many mistakes, but will get significantly less resistance this Saturday night in Dallas. What will happen: After playing one of the worst games in Bennett’s tenure at SMU, the Mustangs get an ideal opponent for a feel-good game. Dodge, who’s used to being around high school defenses, is going to feel as if he’s coaching one in 2007.CFN Prediction SMU 35 ... North Texas 16 ... Line: SMU -17Must See Rating: (5 Mad Men - 1 Chelsea Lately) ... 1.5

About me

To describe myself I really dont know what to put. The best thing I have is a speech given by Al Pacino on the movie any given sunday. This speech has motivated me and taught me things that I still put in practice every day, I believe I now made it a part of me...

"We are in hell right now, gentlemen believe me and we can stay here and get the shit kicked out of us or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb out of hell. One inch, at a time. I look around and I see these young faces and I think I mean I made every wrong choice a man could make. I uh.... I pissed away all my money believe it or not. I chased off anyone who has ever loved me. And lately, I can't even stand the face I see in the mirror. You know when you get old in life things get taken from you. That's, that's part of life. But, you only learn that when you start losing stuff. You find out that life is just a game of inches. In life the margin for error is so small. I mean one half step too late or to early you don't quite make it. One half second too slow or too fast and you don't quite catch it. The inches we need are everywhere around us. They are in ever break of the game every minute, every second. On this team, we fight for that inch. On this team, we tear ourselves, and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our finger nails for that inch. Cause we know when we add up all those inches that's going to make the fucking difference between winning and losing between living and dying. I'll tell you this, in any fight it's the guy whose willing to die whose gonna win that fight. And I know, if I'm gonna have any life any more it's because I'm still willing to fight and die for that inch, because that's what living is, the six inches in front of your face. Now I can't make you do it. You've got to look at the guy next to you, look into his eyes. Now I think ya going to see a guy who will go that inch with you. Your gonna see a guy who will sacrifice himself for this team, because he knows when it comes down to it your gonna do the same for him. That's a team gentlemen, and either, we heal as a team, or we will die as individuals."
